Overview
Community Clash allows members of the community to sign up in teams of four (or fewer, in some cases) and compete against other teams in five events (minigames) to earn points. These points are used to determine which team, if any, receives an advantage in the final event, The Decider.
Events and Points System
The first four events allow teams to earn points.
The point system for each event may vary, but in most cases:
- 10 points are awarded to the team that wins the event.
- 5 points are awarded to the other team if they either finish the event or score at least 1 point.
The Decider (Final Event)
The Decider is a four-part obstacle course where teams assign one member to each part of the course.
The objective is to complete The Decider faster than the opposing team, regardless of how many points either team has.
Points accumulated from the previous events determine the head start: For every 1 point a team leads by, they receive a 1-second head start.
Ultimately, the team that wins The Decider either advances in the competition or is crowned the winner if it is the grand final. The losing team is eliminated, or may qualify as a wildcard if an odd number of teams proceed to the next round.
Training Session
Prior to the tournament, all teams will have the option to use a private server to practice all events. This allows teams to understand how each event works and to ask any questions they may have.
To practice:
- You must have at least two people in your private server.
- Those players must be on separate teams.
- This does not need to involve members of other teams. You may split your own team into individual players, teams of two, etc.
Important Commands for Training Session
To ensure your training runs smoothly, please use the following commands:
/randomTeams – Divides players into teams randomly. You can specify a maximum team size by adding a number at the end of the command.
Example:
/randomTeams 2 – Ensures only two players per team.
/event – Opens the event selection screen. Click on the event you would like to play. You may repeat the same event multiple times. You can switch events without needing to reset the server.
/match – Starts the event and runs all required matches.
Group Stages
If there are more than 15 teams, the tournament will begin with group stages. Otherwise, it will proceed directly to the knockout stages.
- Teams are randomly divided into groups and will compete against every other team in their group.
- Each team will compete in the events at least two or three times.
The team with the most points in each group advances to the next stage. Points are earned through the events and by defeating an opposing team in The Decider, which is worth an additional 10 points.
If there are less than 24 teams, the team with the second highest score in each group will also proceed through to the next stage.
Knockout Stages
In the knockout stages, each team faces one other remaining team.
- Teams compete in the four events, then face off in The Decider.
- The first team to complete The Decider remains in the competition, while the losing team is eliminated.
- If there is an odd number of teams remaining, a previously eliminated team may have the opportunity to re-enter the competition.
The knockout stages continue until two teams remain. These teams will compete one final time, and the team that completes The Decider first will be crowned the champions.
Other Rules
- Where possible, teams must have four members, and all four must attend when their team is scheduled to compete.
- Understandably, there may be occasions where a team member is unable to attend. If one or more members are missing at the time of the scheduled event, the team may still compete as long as at least two members are present.
- Any form of interference with another team during an event will result in the entire team being disqualified. This includes, but is not limited to, exploiting, glitching, using large UGC outfits, and emotes.
